The Virginia Association of Central Services came into being as a means of identifying and unifying Central Services personnel professionally within the Commonwealth of Virginia. This is a not-for-profit association whose goal is to work as an advocate for the promotion of educational and professional growth to members and associates. 

During the year, we offer seminars and vendor fairs with continuing educational value to Central Service personnel. Speakers are well known in our field of expertise, and the vendor shows offer an introduction to products and services to better support a fast paced, technical work environment. VACS seminars also are an opportunity for networking and sharing of good practices and ideas. With the increased emphasis on certification of Central Sterile Technicians, VACS sees its’ role as a promoter of professional advancement through continuing education opportunities and certification scholarship opportunities.
